Autumn Lockwood, The Philadelphia Eagles’ Assistant Sports Performance Coach, etched her name in history by becoming the first NFL Black woman coach to win a Super Bowl—Super Bowl 59 in 2025. In 2023, she became the first NFL Black woman to coach in a Super Bowl with the Philadelphia Eagles during Super Bowl 57 in 2023.

In Memoriam

Edye Ellis, 81, the first Black anchor at WBIR in Knoxville, Tennessee, and a highly regarded figure among anchors during the 1980s and 1990s, passed away in Chicago, Illinois, on March 3, 2025. Ellis commenced her career with WBIR in 1982.

Mrs. Lessia Jackson is the first lady of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in Newport, Tennessee. She is the wife of Rev. Clifton Jackson Sr., the senior pastor of Macedonia.

Lessia is retired from the State of Tennessee Department of Human Resources.

The Jacksons are the parents of four children, eleven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

Deacon Adams has been married to Lisa for 37 years. Together, they share four children and four grandchildren.
